Maria Fernanda León Rodriguez, “I wish my life was a movie”, 2020, digital print, 64x34 cm.

As a result of the current events in the world, the human being has been faced with the need to adapt to changing environment on the outside but at the same time, within a static space that it’s our homes, with a result of monotony in our daily routine.  ̈I wish my life was a movie ̈is a project based on personal observation of things that are destined to disappear and are developed in our everyday.
This project began with the purpose of reflecting on my reality, together with personal thoughts in form of subtitles that I have made during this confinement process, with a practice of photographing everything that encompasses my day and that on a larger plane makes it unique. With my camera as a new extension of me, I am capable to record this event(confinement) that despite being so personal is something that anyone would feel identified with. Not only does it exist in the field of art, but I like to think that it could serve in the future as a record of how artists developed during this time.
