Where does creativity come from? And, am I even allowed to ask this question? “Impossible to answer, yet, fascinating to reflect on” is a recipe I opt for whenever making something new. In this book, I have decided to showcase a brief reflection on creativity, the shaping of a creative idea, and its personification in the human body. Getting inspired by the work process of many artists and creators, such as Aldous Huxley, David Lynch, and so on, I wanted to compare the different methods and create a humorous intervention. The work plan was simple; combine the materials that I had at hand and see how they interact. My preferred medium is photography, mainly due to the reality-bending possibilities and the speed that it offers. However, a single photograph appears to be incomplete; it lacks context. Therefore, I have decided to add drawings and texts to this publication. Play and free association is a crucial part of the creative process as well; how else would I find out that a photograph of an open hand next to a scribble can create such an intriguing gesture? Besides all the mind-tickling combinations, the whole experience should also be pleasant and light. The initial response and interaction with the book are as valuable as hours spent reflecting on it. In whatever mood you are, sit back, and enjoy the ride!
